Storage Sheds

Metal Sheds

Metal sheds are considered the most secure of all outdoor sheds, simply because of the material they are made of. Usually, these sheds come complete with a sturdy lock and bolt welded to the shell. Inside, on selected models, shelves are also pre welded onto the shed's walls.

The shelves are extremely strong, capable of taking a heavy load. Although, before purchasing your shed, it is important to consider what your requirements are, with regards to shelving. Shelf racks are usually a more convenient an adaptable way of shelving a metal shed. If you should need to alter the height or position of shelves, this can be achieved with very little fuss. A much more versatile shelving solution. Being able to adapt your storage, as new additions arrive, can be invaluable.

If you intend to install electricity in your shed, DO remember to earth the shed itself. Most metal sheds can be supplied in kit form. Very simple to fix together and bolt onto a concrete pad. If your shed is not bolted securely to the floor, you may wake up one morning and find that your it has blown into your neighbours garden. Even with your tools inside! The most common colour, for a metal shed, is green. The general idea being this complements the garden, and suits it's practicality. However, you will find various other 'passive' colours available, such as light tan or grey. Two optional colours readily available on the open market. However, you can paint them any colour you wish! The maintenance on a metal shed is very minimal. A thorough jet wash, once or twice a year, will help keep the metal free from acid rain corrosion.

Some metal sheds come complete with a plastic coating, for protection against the elements. A metal shed like this can last, virtually, a lifetime. When placing your metal shed in your garden, think carefully about the position. If you place it near your bedroom window, when it rains through the night, you may be constantly listening to drops on a metal roof! Through the day, you probably would not notice, but in the quite of night, the noise is amplified. It could end up driving you crazy! What ever you need a metal shed for, whether it is just simply to store garden furniture, excess household goods, or even a a hideaway from the kids! After a while, it will become part of your home, like a small extension, which you can no longer do without. When you do acquire one, you will wonder how you ever managed without one before! Wherever you may relocate on to, you will never want to be without one again! Metal sheds are a great solution, to so many storage problems.
